Getting there
PLANE
All major airlines fly to Sydney and Brisbane international airports. Domestic flights from Sydney with Qantas, Virgin Australia, Jetstar fly daily to Ballina/Byron or Gold Coast (Coolangatta) airports
For those flying into Brisbane, the drive is just under 2hrs to Byron Bay
For those flying into Ballina/Byron local airport, the drive is an 25min to the town centre.
For those flying to the Gold Coast, the drive to Byron is about 60min
CAR HIRE
Car hire might helpful for those who want to explore further than main town outside of the wedding events.
We suggest booking a car that can collected from the airport. Sixt, Europcar, Avis, Hertz
VISA
Important Reminder: Visitors ARE required to have a visa upon entry to Australia. The easiest way to do this is via the Australian ETA App
TIME DIFFERENCE
Given travel and time difference, flights from the US & UK to Australia arrive 2 calendar days after departure.
Flights from South Africa arrive 1 day after departure. Please be sure to double check the arrival date when booking flights!
